Green Bay Packers should be hoping Chicago Bears let Allen Robinson walk

High drama in the Windy City today, as Chicago Bears wide receiver, Allen Robinson, deleted all of his team related content from social media (story HERE). AR went all middle school on the Monsters Of The Midway because he’s entering the final year of his contract that is worth $42 million and would like to make some more.

I may be teasing Robinson, but it’s hard to argue against his numbers last year which involved almost 100 receptions for over 1,000 yards. We also followed each other to the Midwest. Before I watched him play hard down in Jacksonville.

Which is why you guys here in Brown County need Allen Robinson to leave Chicago and preferably the NFC North.

With no Robinson, the Bears would lose their last real big play threat. Yes, Tarik Cohen is always dangerous but his reduced workload has rendered him much less effective.

And Robinson has been a good receiver even though he’s worked with two embattled quarterbacks. Blake Bortles in Jacksonville and now Mitchell Trubisky.

Now that I type that sentence, I can see why he might be frustrated.

But with the Vikings taking an “L” against the Packers in the first week and the Lions looking like kittens heading into week 2, Green Bay fans need Robinson to continue his career back in the AFC.

Doing so would split that Bears offense even further apart. And give the Pack some much needed leverage for two of the final games in the stretch leading up to the playoffs.
