After last night’s ridiculous referee call costing the Milwaukee Bucks their second game against the Miami Heat in the NBA playoffs, the internet decided to once again take some cheap shots at MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Including former player Richard Jefferson, who decided it would be a good idea to diss both Giannis and all time great Scottie Pippen.
Giannis might be a Pippen…. there I said it! He needs his Jordan. pic.twitter.com/L89DG9JjHD

It was not a good idea. The truth is that in making that remark he managed to both call Pippen a non leader and insulted Giannis, who has already accomplished more than he has in his career.
I’m not Giannis—I don’t have back-to-back league MVPs (he will in a matter of days)—and he’s not me. The question is… who were you as a player? 😂 https://t.co/Ce6tGU98s3

That was a good question. What kind of player was Richard Jefferson? The truth is that Jefferson was okay. He certainly wasn’t Giannis or Scottie Pippen. That’s what makes this entire scenario ridiculous.
The worst part is that Giannis probably won’t be able to prove him wrong this year. And that Jefferson’s goofy remarks from his perch will only go further.
It is good to see Scottie Pippen coming to Giannis’ side in the face of this nonsense. I grew up a Bulls fan and Pippen truly is a great one. Michael Jordan giving him that credit during “The Last Dance” was my favorite part of the doc.
You should watch that instead of listening to Jefferson’s terrible remarks..
