AEW All Out 2020 is in the books and it was a good show. Here were some of the high points of the program.
Britt Baker and Big Swole: The “Tooth and Nail Match” started out the program on a fun note. Baker continues to be one of the brightest stars of the Women’s Division despite her injury and Big Swole is such a perfect opponent for her. Great work by everyone, including
The Dark Order turmoil: How about that sequence by Dark Order that we thought was going to end the match? It was dog-gone beautiful. And Mr. Brodie Lee, Colt Cabana, and Evil Uno playing the walk off perfectly makes me want to keep watching. I’m invested.
Mimosa Mayhem: That was glorious. I loved the way Chris Jericho and Orange Cassidy opened the match. I loved the vats at each end of the stage. Tang? Eggs? Apparently, this audience doesn’t go to brunch often but it looked good. The pacing here was beautiful. It’s amazing how these two can find new ways to keep entertaining an audience. And of course that finish really set it all off. Excellent.
Honorable Mention: Kip Sabian and Peneolpe Ford’s announcement. More specifically, AEWs support of this important issue.
A great night for AEW and just the slightest echo of the limited fans allowed for the event felt good. It will feel great when we finally hear “Judas” in front of a crowd of thousands again.
