Sometimes, I have to remind myself that Doc Rivers and Kawhi Leonard are there.
And I have to remind myself that every time the Los Angeles Clippers act like misbehaving children during a game. There has been a lot of this kind of reminding going on recently.
Today is another instance of this bully Clippers squad taking things too far, when Marcus Morris Sr. took a cheap shot on Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic in the first quarter of their series clinching win on Sunday.
Watch the first minute of the video below.
That is trash. Pure junk by Marcus Morris and everyone on that bench should have been ashamed.
They weren’t though. Pat Beverly and company couldn’t be prouder.
And I point out Beverly because he has been the catalyst for this poor behavior by this talented Clippers team (story HERE).
But these goons live on to lose another day. Hopefully, in the second round.
Speaking of Doc Rivers and Kawhi Leonard; where are they?
The reason I ask is because this is the kind of behavior they typically stand against. Laughing at competitors from the sideline. Cheap shots on already injured players. They have to be included in this.
And why should you root against them?
Because this is who we strive not to be. We don’t teach our children to act this way. Why should we condone it from the players they’re trying to emulate? Even though our kids probably choose more talented members of the NBA to aspire to.
I would say that the Clippers should be ashamed of themselves but they’re not. That’s not how some of these players think.
And that’s why we should all wish them an exit from these playoffs as soon as possible.
