The Travis Scott meal at McDonald’s is popular because it’s actually a good deal

McDonald’s apparently has a hit on it’s hands. The Travis Scott meal inspired by the famous rapper is causing quarter pounder shortages at their restaurants (story HERE).

Yes, both McDonald’s and Scott have used their extensive and respective reach to aggressively promote the meal but it goes beyond that.

It’s actually a good deal for consumers.

The Travis Scott meal includes a Quarter Pounder with Cheese and Bacon, BBQ Fries, and a Sprite.

For just six bucks. Similar deals at competitors will cost about a buck to a buck and half more.

Now it’s not an exceptional deal. The Wendy’s Biggie Bag is exceptional for a dollar less. But for McDonald’s and a great sandwich like a freshly prepared QP, it is a good buy.

And the fact that this meal is selling strong bodes well for us fast food aficionados.

It means that all of the chains will try to launch fun celebrity combo promotions for a good price.

Now, I don’t listen to Travis Scott. But his McD’s meal has raised my awareness of him and I’m writing this post.

I do know the products he representing though. And their strong.

Great work here by all parties involved.

If you like good fast food for a decent price. Then get yourself a Travis Scott meal.
