The Orlando Magic released their official schedule for the 2019-2020 season this afternoon (you can view it HERE), and there are some terrific match ups for this young team that broke their playoff drought last year.
Let’s have a look:
The October 23rd season home opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers: This isn’t the most exciting opener in franchise history, but the Cavs will be hungry and the Magic will be looking to kick off their season on a winning note.
The October 28th road rematch with the World Champion Toronto Raptors: We’ll see how tough they are without Kawhi Leonard, who signed with the Los Angeles Clippers in the offseason.
The “Greek Freak” MVP Giannis Antetokoumpo invades the Amway Center on November 1st: Milwaukee will be good this year, maybe better than last year, and their MVP will anchor their efforts.
The back to back home games against both conference champions on November 29th and December 1st: Toronto comes to town on the 29th and then the Magic have to turn around and play Stef Curry and the Golden State Warriors on the 1st. Not an easy homestand.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis bring the Lakers to Orlando on December 11th: Magic fans will want to beat this team bad, as the first of the LA super teams come to town. The Los Angeles Clippers with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George come to the Amway on January 26th.
Zion Williamson makes his Amway Center debut on the March 29th: The most highly anticipated rookie prospect since LeBron James comes to Orlando on the March 29th, as the Magic take on the New Orleans Pelicans.
