Stacey Abrams could learn from Val Demings on how to handle VP buzz correctly

Former Vice President and likely Democratic nominee for President, Joe Biden, is currently ramping up the search for his own Vice President and there are a few familiar names on the list (story HERE).

The loudest name on that list is former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, who is openly campaigning for the job and has angered some of the members of her own party in doing so, applying unnecessary pressure to the Biden campaign during this tough time.

There is a familiar name mentioned in that article. Orlando Congresswoman Val Demings, who is a longshot to be Biden’s pick but has used more restraint and displayed more class in the buzz surrounding her chances.

“I would be honored.” she said (story HERE).

Abrams could learn a lot from Demings as Biden makes his decision.

“Chief” as she’s known around Orlando from her time as police chief of the City Beautiful, is letting the buzz come to her and allowing the strength of resume and life story to earn the attention.

That’s how it should be done.

That’s not to say that Demings can’t raise her voice when she has too. Anyone who has followed her campaigns knows that and her time in the national spotlight as an impeachment manager showed that strength to the nation.

Anyone that knows me understands that I’m not always a fan of her politics.

But when stood up side by side with Abrams, it’s her ability to let her experience earn any opportunities for bigger things that gives her a clear advantage.

We don’t know what Joe Biden is going to do. But we do know this.

Stacey Abrams is telling us she deserves to be the Vice Presidential nominee. Val Demings is showing us why she deserves to be the Vice Presidential nominee.
