In what has been a release shuffle that has been dramatic as likely anything we’ll see in the actual movie “Tenet” has announced yet another release date. The Christopher Nolan mind-bending action thriller will first open overseas on August 26th (story HERE).
An entire week before the film will arrive here in the United States. And that is wrong. In fact, it’s punishment.
Warner Bros isn’t on the record to elaborate and that’s unfortunate because the American consumer continues to pay skyrocketing theater prices for the experience, and we’re starved for content. That is why we have movie fans paying full price in the theaters that are open to watch movies that are over 30 years old.
And now they decided to pull this non-sense.
Any spoilers for Tenet will leak that far ahead.
The trolls on-line want to insult the United States for their handling of the COVID pandemic. And they don’t know what they’re talking about.
What do pandemic politics have to do with fans that just want to just enjoy a film in the theater with their family? Why are they the victims in your own political grudges?
Because I haven’t seen Tenet, I can’t tell you how to spend your money.
But loyalty to an audience matters. I hope Warner Bros understands that. And I hope you remember that.
And an explanation is also needed on why they put the rest of the world ahead of the fans right here at home.
