Bear with me while I brag about my hometown for a couple of words.
Orlando is ready to go for the NBA restart scheduled to take place at the end of the month under unprecedented conditions.
At these world class Disney facilities we have venues that are ready to go and socially distanced.
And they are socially aware.
And against the backdrop of the pandemic and the fight for criminal justice reform we have some of the biggest NBA story lines of the past few years.
(Coming back to Wisconsin) Can the league leading Milwaukee Bucks win it all?
Will LeBron James further cement his greatness and bring a championship back to Los Angeles (with former Orlando Magic cast offs, Coach Frank Vogel and Dwight Howard)?
What other stars will rise during these dark times to possibly capture a championship?
And it’s all being done at the happiest place on earth.
I’m ready for Basketball to return. I’m also looking forward to Baseball. Football? I can’t wait.
But I’m hopeful for my hometown and happy there are no positive cases right now in the Orlando NBA bubble.
It’s the kind of environment I was certain Orlando could provide. I hope operations safely employ as many as possible so they can provide for their families.
In a safe and fun environment to deliver the sports we all love.
