The 100th season of NFL football kicks off tonight with the Green Bay Packers taking on the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. That means it’s time for my annual Super Bowl prediction.
The Kansas City Chiefs will defeat the Dallas Cowboys 35-17.
In the AFC: I like the Chiefs and the New England Patriots taking the first round byes. Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady will both be great again this year and take their teams to their division championships. The Pats have a softer schedule, I’m giving them the top seed.
I like the Pittsburgh Steelers to take the North and the Houston Texans to take the South. The Wildcards will go to a much better Cleveland Browns team and the Los Angeles Chargers.

AFC Championship: the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Patriots at Foxboro 35-28.
In the NFC: With Ezekiel Elliott locked up, the Dallas Cowboys will finally have what it takes with a more experienced crew this year. The New Orleans Saints will contend though as Drew Brees makes one final charge with this gifted offense. Only the Saints will draw a first round bye though.
I like the Chicago Bears to take the North and the Los Angeles Rams to take the West and homefield for the playoffs. Let’s give the wild cards to the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers.

NFC Championship: The Dallas Cowboys over the New Orleans Saints on the road 28-24.
The Super Bowl: The Kansas City Chiefs will come out of the gate with too much firepower and overwhelm Jason Garret’s team. 35-17 Chiefs. Andy Reid finally gets it done. Patrick Mahomes is the MVP.
