I’m here to tell you that you need to take LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard.
Now it would have been useful to have some context here. Is this a five on five game? Or is this a straight up two on two game. They never say. But really, the answer never changes.
LBJ and Kawhi.
What we have here are two all around great players against one great all around player and a great scorer. Kevin Durant is the outlier here.
Now, in this foursome, there are no real weak links. Kevin Durant is sensational. But he doesn’t bring as much defense to the table as the other three players. And in any equation where you’re trying to win a game against some of the best players on the planet, you have to do everything.
“Well, Kobe is a better player than Kawhi.”
That’s a fair statement
But we’re talking about combined greatness between the duos. The edge has to go to LBJ and Kawhi.
KD also hasn’t make the Hercules lift yet. That’s single-handedly putting a team on his back and carrying them to that ring. When you play next to Step Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, you really can’t make the argument.
So the answer on this very tough question in Kawhi and The King…Even though Jordan and Magic or Bird or Shaq or Barkley would smoke all of them.
