The superbly well done “It: Chapter 1” will be back in theaters this weekend with a sneak preview of it’s Chapter 2 sequel due out in September. “It” exceeded expectations in 2017 both critically and financially by producing a slicker and scarier update on the 1990 version starring Tim Curry.
And while Chapter 2 showcases a superstar cast including James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, and Bill Hader, even they will have a tough time following the great job the young cast did in chapter 1 portraying the adolescent version of the characters in the story. Bill Skarsgard is also terrifying as Pennywise the Dancing Clown.
If you’re looking for a good scare this weekend and you’ve already met the cults of “Midsommar” and alligators of “Crawl”, getting reacquainted with Pennywise should fit the bill nicely.
