SuperBowl MVP Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson were ranked #1 and #2 respectively. Mahomes just signed the biggest contract in sports history on Monday.
DeShaun Watson of the Texans and Saints future Hall of Famer Drew Brees round out the top five.
As you all know, Rodgers took the Packers to the NFC Championship last season. The quarterback who represented the NFC in the big game, Jimmy Garrappalo of the 49ers did not make the list.
Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens, Tom Brady in his first season in Tampa Bay, Carson Wentz of the Eagles, and the only other NFC Central quarterback on the list, Matthew Stafford of the Detroit Lions wrap up the top ten.
The poll was conducted among 50 personnel at ESPN. It has been met with debate by social media users.
