On Thursday, EA announced it’s Madden 21 Backyard Football feature. A “brand-new backyard football-inspired mode where wild gameplay moments and house rules are the name of the game”.
One of the selectable locations? The Lambeau Tailgate.
The description reads as follows.
Tailgates rule Sundays outside of Lambeau Field. One of the NFL’s most storied franchises, the Green Bay Packers, have a deep history of football success that is matched only by the all out dedication of the Chesseheads who worship them. Here, fans’ unique version of pre-game football has taken over the stadium, and the growing crowd has taken notice. Keep your eye out for any NFL stars who might pop out of the locker room to get in on the action.
You’ll actually be playing against the Packers and a forecasted boss battle featuring Aaron Rodgers. You’ll be drafting from the rival teams in the NFC North (page HERE).
No word on whether you can be the Packers at Lambeau, although it’s hard to believe that won’t be an option.
The new feature shines a bright light on the location many of us Green Bay residents who drive by it each day. The NFL Street series was a good play back in the day and was trending along with this announcement. With the dynamic play we’ve seen in the league in recent years, it should be a popular option among players.
