Inching closer to the mythology that the WWE Universe has been desperately asking for, Alexa Bliss took one more step towards a relationship linked to The Fiend on Smackdown Friday night.
During a Fatal Four Way to be the #1 contender for Bayley’s Smackdown Women’s Title, Bliss hit the Sister Abigail on Nikki Cross outside of the ring. The Sister Abigail is the Fiend’s finishing move for my non WWE readers.
Smackdown fans reacted overwhelmingly positive on social media. “Sister Abigail” was also trending nationally for a time.
While Bliss lost the match to Nikki anyways, the maneuver adds to a slow build that has involved Bliss’ bizarre behavior since confronting The Fiend during his feud with Braun Strowman over the past few weeks.
And it’s something fans keep asking for.
It’s completely possible this might be what Bliss’ next move. A Sister Abigail female companion for The Fiend. And it’s completely possible it might be something else.
For those rooting for the push, one encouraging sign is the Roman Reigns heel turn late last month. Since teaming up with Paul Heyman, fans have reacted very well early on with the change.
