At the end of the evening, “Tiger King” star and animal activist, Carole Baskin, did not have nine lives and was eliminated from Dancing With The Stars on Monday night.
And in a spot of irony, she was eliminated in a cat costume as the sideshow tied to the controversial documentary came to an end earlier than myself or I’m sure any of the show producers would have liked. She easily received the most buzz during the opening stretch of the show.
It was the right decision though. Her performance to “Circle Of Life” from the Lion King during Disney night was the least impressive performance of the night.
Nev Schulman had the best performance of the evening, channeling Jack Sparrow. Other big performances included network favorite and Bachelor star Kaitlyn Bristow, and Johnny Weir.
My favorite was Jeannie Mai in an “Up” inspired performance that was impossible not to like.
New host Tyra Banks continued to find her footing on the fast paced show, but many social media viewers still voiced their loyalty to Tom Bergeron.
It will be interesting to see who viewers focus on next with Baskin gone.
