Disney Channel star, Skai Jackson, has been a social media favorite during the first couple of weeks on Dancing With The Stars but it wasn’t until she delivered a touching tribute to her late co star which ultimately brought the judges to her side.
But it was a controversial scoring flub that people were talking about when the night ended.
Jackson dedicated her foxtrot to “Jessie” star, Cameron Boyce, who died suddenly in 2019. The performance landed her high praise from all three judges and the first 10 score of the season landing her at the top of the leader board with a 29 for the evening.
Other high scores included Kaitlyn Bristowe from the Bachelor who continued her streak of winning dances. Figure skater Johhny Weir also received high marks on the fourth week of the show.
The end of the show brought some high drama when the scores were misread and the wrong couples up for elimination were on stage. “It’s live TV” host Tyra Banks said.
Once again producers rushed judges to a sloppy finish and it was actress Anne Heche, who had been in trouble for a while now (post HERE), that got eliminated.
If it was drama that show runners were aiming for, they certainly got it. If it was a content audience at home they wanted, they’re anything but content, but they’ll sure as heck still be here next week.
