In any other year, a music star making out with a bunch of people at a party would be fodder for the tabloids, and people probably wouldn’t have blinked twice at Morgan Wallen kissing a bunch of college girls last weekend.
But this is 2020 and we live in a Covid-19 reality.
And Wallen happens to be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
The show was which premiered last weekend after a socially distanced finale in the spring took extreme precautions with keeping the virus away.
Chris Rock who hosted last weekend said “I’ve had all sorts of things up my nose this week.”
The crowd was also substantially smaller and socially distanced from each other.
An infection in the production could put the entire show at risk.
Wallen himself will likely have to be tested before performing. Hopefully everything comes back negative. Country music doesn’t appear on SNL very often.
Comedian and actor, Bill Burr, will host.
