Adele fans rejoice! She will be hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend.
It will be the singer’s first appearance on the show since 2008 and we’ll all be looking forward to it, especially since the show has kind of gotten off to an uneven start with shaky writing, and a subdued crowd due to the extra measures taken to protect the production from the Corona virus (one concern HERE).
But when you have a generational musical talent like Adele on your show, shouldn’t you ask her to perform? Even if it’s a medley of some old stuff with a tease of something new, it would be a treat. I wasn’t the only one thinking this.
I know it's only Monday but I'm confused as to why Adele is hosting and not performing on SNL. Does she have hidden acting skills or was she on some Brit version on the Mickey Mouse club that we don't know about?

Oh! Adele hosting but not performing?!? That’s…different?! All I know is…if this is their Halloween show 2020 needs the return of @tomhanks + David S MF Pumpkins! #SNL https://t.co/2VeXO2RYpw

This isn’t necessarily a complaint. I’m looking forward to seeing what Adele can do on the big stage. I just hope the writers don’t let her down.
As for the actual musical guest, it’s H.E.R as Saturday Night Live continues to jump around the musical spectrum following performances from Justin Bieber, Jack White, and Meghan Thee Stallion.
