The critically and publicly acclaimed Netflix dramedy “Master Of None” will return in May. But not the way we’ve known it before.
Season 3 will not feature the show’s star Aziz Ansari, and his character Dev, after allegations against Ansari of sexual misconduct a few years back.
Instead, the show will feature Lena Waithe’s character, Denise, and a romantic angle from her perspective. Ansari is billed as the director.
Reviews from fans were mixed, as you’ll see below.
Master of none is coming back for season 3 but focusing on Lena waithes character. 🙄 should’ve just canceled it. Give us Aziz #MasterOfNone

Idk how I feel about the next season of Master of None focusing on Lena Waithe’s character. I guess Aziz is still stepping back from the spotlight following that girl’s weirdly vague accusations.

I know people are fed up with Aziz and Lena but there are few shows about the time from "young adulthood" to "real adulthood" like Master of None
Sorry

Idk if I want Master of None without Aziz tbh 🤔

Before it’s hiatus, Master Of None was a darling of streaming television. A friendly walk through life with some of these wonderful characters. Real life has changed all of that.
The trailer is very vauge. We don’t know how much or how little we’ll see of Ansari, but only time will tell if the mystery pays off for Netflix and if we’ll see any closure for Dev.
