On Thursday night, Orlando Magic guard, Cole Anthony, tweeted this out after being snubbed from the 2021 NBA All Rookie Team.
I ainโt even gone lie yโall are mad disrespectful ๐๐๐ https://t.co/UnSCohol8y

He was laughing in the tweet. But I was angry for him.
I was angry because while this team burned it down at the halfway point this season, he kept grinding. He also provided the most exciting moment of the campaign, with that winner at the buzzer over the Timberwolves with nothing to play for. I was critical when he was drafted, but he won me over this season and should have made that squad.
And I hope all of you are angry with me. And for him.
Because we don’t get very emotional about this team anymore.
This is the front office’s fault. And why they’re asleep at the wheel while the NBA coaching search heats up (story HERE). The team even shot out this crap response while fans voiced their concerns over how the search was going.

Maybe if the team was managed better, Anthony would have had the platform to negate all doubt that he belonged on this team. But they did nothing. Like usual.
But on to the next one.
Let’s find a coach that will scheme Anthony right. And let’s also take a moment to appreciate the player. There is a reason that he’s trending nationally right now. This is because NBA fans everywhere believe he’s one of the best of his class.
From right here in Orlando. He plays for the Magic.
This will be negative energy we use to advance forward.
