Let’s be proud of our Orlando Firefighters helping out with Surfside tragedy

As we continue to learn more about the tragedy that took place at the Champlain Towers in Surfside, some stories of bravery helping out with the disaster are coming from right here in Orlando.

According to reports (story HERE), we’ve deployed 42 members of the Orlando, Orange County Seminole County, Lake County and Reedy Creek fire departments as part of an Urban Search And Rescue Task Force that will be assisting at the site where 159 people are still unaccounted for.

Kudos to all of these brave men and women, for their selfless service in helping out our neighbors to the south this weekend.

We’ve experienced tragedy here in Orlando before on a few different occasions and we’ve had people come to our aid. It’s good that we can continue this tradition that involves helping each other out during times of need.

Let’s continue to pray that we find as many answers as possible here and that our brave task force returns home safely after what I’m sure will be a job well done.
