Many UFC fans weren’t happy to see TikTok star Addison Rae on the broadcast

Many fans of the UFC were caught off guard on social media by TikTok star, Addison Rae, after she tweeted the following.

This is a big night for the mixed martial arts giant, ahead of their big Dustin Poirier vs Connor McGregor fight in Las Vegas tonight on UFC 264.

Rae, who has 4.8 million followers on Twitter and 81 million followers on TikTok made some UFC fans angry because they felt that a sports broadcasting journalist deserved the opportunity to open a major sporting event instead of a social media star.

But it’s completely possible that despite the wishes of many fans of mixed martial arts, that this is exactly what the UFC wanted. That is some controversial buzz over what are usually pretty uneventful pre card festivities. This is very similar to “The View” effect producers got on the daytime talker with conservative, Meghan McCain before she announced she was leaving the program earlier this month.

Rae isn’t new to controversy. She’s starring in a remake of “She’s All That” called “He’s All That” and has be criticized for allegedly taking material from other social media content producers.
