Your early Saturday morning trends included Panda Express. You might be wondering why Panda Express would be trending, and it’s because of this tweet.
My salary as an associate professor of mathematics at Westminster College, three blocks away from this sign, is $61,500. pic.twitter.com/BNYSJHPinY

That’s correct. If you believe this tweet, a general manager at Panda Express makes more money than a college educator in this particular community. No disrespect to anybody here. Especially Panda GMs (those guys work hard).
But the internet had a lot to say. Both by lobbing criticism at the “Prof” and by mentioning that educators should be making more money to begin with.
Panda Express general managers are in higher demand than associate professors. The free market has made its decision. https://t.co/FGKhry4Mpp

I worked over 70 hours a week for 20 years managing restaurants. You wouldn’t last a week at Panda Express. It’s about time hard work is being rewarded. https://t.co/iL4oHVTkLW

instead of advocating for why panda express should be paid less maybe you can bring your boss this sign and advocate for better teaching wages https://t.co/Xm8tYlQ9yx
