AEW Dynamite: Social Media loses their minds over MJF and Buddy Matthews

AEW Dynamite had themselves a night. A really good night.

The program shot to the top of the trends effortlessly behind a string of impressive wrestling and excellent promo work. That’s not hyperbole. Give it a watch.

MJF had the fans talking the most behind a great segment with CM Punk. Reciting his villain origin story, if you will. Twitter just adored it, including a lot of the blue check influencers.

With approximately 100 tweets read, not one of them were negative.

The premiere of Buddy Matthews or the former Buddy Murphy, who showed up and actually sided with his former WWE foe, Malakai Black, wasn’t too far behind. Matthews is a tremendous athlete and only makes this impressive roster even better. The returning look of Penta Oscura also created a buzz.

Another epic promo between Chris Jericho and Eddie Kingston had the fans buzzing. Two of the most likeable guys in the promotion probably could have gone another 15 minutes and we would have been fine with it.

Despite a slower second hour, the show was still really entertaining. Jade Cargill vs. The Bunny appeared to have been a squash but the clever booking created some excitement, and it will be cool to see Tay Conti get a shot a Cargill at Revolution (taking place here in Orlando where this blog is published).

The main event between Bryan Danielson and Daniel Garcia also received high marks. The Moxley walk-off ended the evening nicely.

Just a tremendous night of wrestling. Great work.
