The first part of the two part live finale of The Bachelor aired tonight, and fans were already upset with what they witnessed last week with Bachelor, Clayton Echard, being intimate with multiple women and being upset when questioned about it by Susie.
He got frustrated. He gaslighted Susie into making it think it was her fault that they weren’t working out. He was wrong. And viewers turned on Clayton in a hurry (story HERE).
Tonight, during “The Rose Ceremony from Hell”, Clayton told Rachel and Gabby everything that had been happening. Lucky for him, they forgave him and met his parents.
But to end the show, Clayton confessed he wanted Susie.
That would not be good. Fans would hate it.
Here is the truth. Clayton is hustling these girls. And hey, this is reality TV, there are no illusions over what’s going on, but fans can only deal with so much mistreatment of the cast before they lash out. Even on a dating show.
And now, they’re preparing to watch these women get their hearts broken twice in less than 24 hours. There is also a bad trend continuing of victims forgiving terrible and abusive behavior.
What the show does have working out in it’s favor is the “train wreck” factor. We’re not going to be changing the channel. No way.
But we’re certainly not going to be happy when it’s all over.
I actually asked Twitter if the live audience should boo Clayton when they see him, and this is what they had to say.
Do you expect the live audience to boo Clayton at some point? #TheBachelor #TheBachelorABC #Bachelor #BachelorABC #Bachelornation

Yeah, not good.
But nevertheless, here we are.
We’ll just have to wait and see.
What do you think? Are you prepared for an unpopular finish? What do you think of Clayton? Have you forgiven him? How would you feel watching Gabby and Rachel get their hearts broken again.
I’ll see you tomorrow night.
