Yes, there were actually TV viewers upset over the POTUS Uvalde address interrupting programming

Yesterday, the tragic events in Uvalde, Texas took the lives of approximately 21 people, including 19 children. Last night, President Joe Biden addressed the nation following the school shooting, which interrupted regular programming.

And there were people complaining about it on social media..

The TV shows airing were all available on streaming services, except for the FBI finale on CBS that was bumped because of story events seen similar to Uvalde.

On NBC, the Young Rock season finale was bumped in order to keep viewers of the “This Is Us” series finale on time.

On ABC, Holey Moly was finished in its entirety and so was “The Chase” that followed. Time wasn’t made up for until the final block of programming where “Who Do You Believe” was joined in progress.

And on FOX a two hour block of Name That Tune was rejoined in progress.

But some TV viewers were still unhappy…

While we all love television, it’s important to acknowledge the real events around us. Most of us don’t place real life loss above miniature golf and the networks actually did a strong job last night covering the address.

What were you watching last night? Did you go on any of the other streamers to finish your show? Let me know in the comments below..
