Watching Major League Baseball in 2022 is tricky. In addition to standard broadcasting rules that can leave fans on the outside looking in, we’ve also go the league’s deal with streamers such as the one with Apple TV that has fans constantly complaining about their coverage (story HERE).
And the one with Peacock which has angered fans trying to watch the New York Yankees play the Detroit Tigers today.
Peacock was trending today for the wrong reasons as fans voiced their complaints of having to hunt down their favorite team and pay multiple streamers to watch their games.
This game being on Peacock is terrible. Just trying to get less and less viewers by doing this shit

Even if it's just $5, making people pay for a "peacock" subscription just to watch a baseball game is fucking insane. There's gonna be so many people who don't watch the Yankees today because of this

So I have to subscribe to:
-Amazon
-Apple TV
-MLB Network
-Yes Network
-Peacock
-I'm sure there's moreto watch Yankee games now???
The MLB gives absolutely zero shit about their fans and they wonder why the game is slowly degrading. Embarrassment to the game.

11:30 am on peacock… way to grow the game guys

I want whoever decided to have the Yankee game today exclusively be on Peacock to face severe jail time. I want him in solitary confinement. What a joke. @MLB @peacockTV

Yankee fans!!!!! Is anyone else disgusted with all of the streaming channels the Yankees are using this year? Apple is terrible. It keeps cutting out and now the Sunday game is on Peacock. Listening to John and Susan.

I think the reports of Joey Gallo hitting a home run are fabricated. And since no one is watching the game on Peacock, no one can prove otherwise.#Yankees

MLB/Manfred: “we gotta grow the game and get more people watching our product”
Also MLB/Manfred: “you’re gonna need a $5 subscription to peacock to watch game, along with an Apple TV subscription, along with cable for local teams along with mlb tv subscription. Have fun!”

Not watching. I subscribe to no less than 5 streaming channels. I’m not adding Peacock just for this game. You’re not growing the game @MLB, you’re ticking off existing fans.

So in order for me to watch every Yankee game I have to have Apple tv, amazon prime and peacock in addition to paying a large cable bill.. Life-long Yankee fan wishes the Yanks would look out for their fans and not their bottom line.

What do you think? Is MLB and the streamers exploiting fans by making them pay for multiple services to watch their team? Let me know in the comments below.
And if you appreciate this kind of content on MLB and television, help me out below. It’s just me here and every little bit helps. Thank you!
