Young Rock: “Know your role, and shut your mouth!”
We’re back with Young Rock and his adventure in Ghelgigium (which I’m positive is spelled incorrectly) which attempts to save the world from a coffee crisis. We catch up with Dwayne and Randall drinking coffee and awaiting the big dinner (what is Randall wearing by the way?). But PM Honig only wants to talk to Dwayne.
The Prime Minister didn’t like her self portrait or even the idea of it, and Dwayne used it to springboard into a flashback to the Attitude Era where he was making a heel turn, and beginning one of the greatest wrestling runs of all time. Was he going to “get over” or win over the fans?
We get to see the family and visit Bruno before we end up in Chicago where the crowd starts chanting “Rocky sucks”, and it never stopped from there. As a long time fan, I actually watched this entrance live during a show in New York and “Young Rock” nailed the energy just right. Great Ken Shamrock nod here too.
And we saw the “People’s Elbow” which yes, has always been ridiculous, but is still one of the best finishers ever.
His success would also help his family’s wrestling gym succeed too, but we started seeing Dwayne get mobbed everywhere.
This is a rare dislike I’ve got with the show. Stars complaining about being famous never plays well with me. Almost anyone would trade places to have that kind of success. DJ would make up for it less than two minutes later but even as a ladder, it wasn’t the best lever for an argument.
The show still won at the end with our formal introduction to “The Rock”. Great program. It feels like we’re coming to the end of a journey. I’m looking forward to seeing how “Young Rock” ties the bow off.
