Joe mother special ops lioness

Special Ops Lioness: Set up for finale hinges on Cruz’s and the audience’s emotions

One episode left of Special Ops: Lioness, and the penultimate show has the entire team heading towards a wedding, where we know what the stakes are, but have an uncertain Lioness that is responsible for delivering the success of the mission.

Cruz is in love with Aaliyah and the two hooked up after a couple of weeks of teasing. But it’s going to be hard to drop a missile on to a wedding without sacrificing both her and Cruz. That’s the dilemma the show wants us to weigh.

We see Joe and Kaitlyn extract Cruz and try to pump her up for what needs to be done, but we’re not sure if she’s going to be able to go through with it.

Covering this show has been a pleasure. But I can’t continue without your support. Could you chip in $5 below or on the coffee app to keep me going? Thank you

And the set up for the wedding will not be an easy one for the team to tactically traverse.

With the set up we just watched, plot device used will likely be a “callback”.

In the first episode of Special Ops: Lioness, we watched Joe’s last asset get discovered by the terrorist and rather than subject her to torture, she orders in a missile strike and takes everyone out.

It’s very possible that’s where we’ll be when the finale kicks into high gear next week.

And that puts Joe in a position of sacrificing another Lioness, with the audience invested enough to care whether Cruz and Aaliyah survive to enjoy a happy ending with each other.

The bold move might be to drop the missile and complete the mission. It would cement what they’ve been trying to tell us about Joe and Kaitlyn the entire time. They’re killers.

Or they could take the happy ending.

There are aspects in both choices that a Taylor Sheridan audience could appreciate.

All I know is that Morgan Freeman has only been in one scene.
