Chris Broussard uses bad term for special needs on air, immediately apologizes

Sports debate can become passionate and that’s how show producers prefer it. This is why the most animated analysts are often the most popular.

But sometimes they can get carried. away

Such was the case on FS1 when Chris Broussard used the wrong word for special needs individuals during a discussion regarding the James Harden trade that sent him from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Los Angeles Clippers.

“Is the man r*******?” asked Broussard during a debate with Nick Wright about Harden.

“I don’t think you should use that word” Wright replied.

A short time later Broussard would apologize saying “Let me apologize for using that word.” adding that he had a relative who was developmentally disabled and said “I didn’t mean to use that word.”

Wright would accept the apology and they would move on.

But social media saw the footage and Broussard began trending under a negative sentiment..
