MTG Mono Red Man: “Blazing Crescendo” is a cheap instant Voltron push
Intro: We’ve all been there. You’ve got a creature that may or not already be big. But it’s not big enough. If you’re a Mono Red Man like me that may be a dragon or goblin, but it doesn’t matter. It ain’t getting the job done in it’s current size.
Enter “Blazing Crescendo” which is a lovely name for a mono red card that will fix that very problem.

What the card actually says:
Target Creature gets +3/+1 until the end of turn.
Exile the top card of your library. Until the end of your next turn, you may play that card.
“They call themselves the quite furnace? Ironic?” – Tyvar
Analysis: A +3/+1 bump for only two mana? Yes, please. If you’re playing Voltron with your commander and need just a little more to finish off an opponent with commander damage, or just need to buff a creature in general, Blazing Crescendo is a lovely card.
And you’re getting another card to play.
Now hear me out, if you’ve got a Voltron deck and you play Blazing Crescendo and pull another buffing sorcery or instant, or even an equipment card then in the words of the late, great Carl Weathers from his “Arrested Development” appearances, “Baby, you’ve got a stew going.”
How it feels when you play it: Oh, you’re going to leave some mana floating and it could be a show of force, but it’s incredible being able to give your creature a bump this big for a price so low.
Conclusion: Put it in your Voltron decks. It’s inexpensive and you’ll be glad you did.
