MTG Mono Red Man: Stonefury is an effective giant killer

Intro: You know that feeling. Your opponent gets the mana he needs to bust out that Eldrazi, Kraken, or Dinosaur. Or they get their Voltron on, then you’re suddenly up against the ropes, facing death by commander damage or an all out murder by that huge creature. Enter Stonefury

What the card actually says:

Stonefury deals damage to target creature equal to the number of lands you control.

Aleoum can make any intruder looks small

Analysis: Listen, we all love to burn. The problems occur as we move later and later into a game of commander, where we can’t burn big enough. That’s where Stonefury comes in. If you’ve used that Chaos Warp, then you’re going to need a second option that will tackle that big and scary monster that is going to ruin your game. If things get out of hand early, you could cast it for a smaller burn, but that’s entirely up to you. It’s also an Instant, and that speed can come in handy at a pivotal moment of the game

How it feels to play: Its a warm blanket of a card. You’ll feel better simply having it in your hand, with the knowledge that you can deploy it when needed. And if you’re taking down a Voltron, then you could set your opponent’s strategy back indefinitely when you cast this.

Conclusion: We you can’t burn your opponents fast enough to prevent them from getting their big boys out, you’ll be glad you had Stonefury. You’ll want to have it in every deck.
