The Bachelor: Ten Quick Thoughts about the Grant Ellis Premiere

The Bachelor is back for its latest season featuring Grant Ellis. And our Bachelor wasted no time getting to know this field of would be wives vying to be the love of his life.

Here are quick ten first impressions from the Grant Ellis season premiere:

1. This dude sure does kiss a lot: It feels like the only one to not make out with Grant was Linda the llama. We get it. It’s the Bachelor. But it is still the Bachelor. Not Temptation Island.

2. Was Parisa really so bad?: You know, I’m happy that Parisa made it to the next show because I’m interested to see what else is there. We see her having a dinner with her cat, which is both sad but also very endearing (I’ve been there). But then there was the PowerPoint. We give the guys a tough time for being so flaky, but when the ladies tell us exactly what they want it’s bad?

3. It looks like Juliana is being auditioned to be the next Bachelorette: She’s a bombshell, who I could easily see being rolled on to “Dancing with the Stars”. That family was made for TV. And she’s got a spark. But, could she also be kind of a villain.

4. Same for Dina: Also gorgeous. But also very strong. An attorney from big media market Chicago. There is a lot producers can do there.

5. They never finished the Savannah wedding cake tease: She walked in on Grant and Zoe kissing. We went to a commercial and that was that. Everyone was expecting a mess and we got nothing.

6. The sibling intervention was figured out by the crowd quickly: We knew that was Grant’s sister. She’s also very good on TV.

7. Carolina is my early personal favorite: With no Wisconsinites in the field, I’m rooting for Carolina. It’s good to see a Puerto Rican on the Bachelorette. The island has had a tough couple of years. She reportedly lives in California now, but a hometown on the island would be a win for everybody.

8. “Rose. Will you accept this rose?”: Was that the first time that’s ever happened?

9. Bailey’s social media push didn’t play well: People show up there for the wrong reasons all of the time. When someone is upfront about it, they get slammed? How far will she make it?

10. My episode one save would have been Kyleigh: She didn’t get a rose, but walked out of that mansion with an inspiring message, looking like a million bucks.
