Tom Hiddleston is a terrific actor. And goodness, knows the ladies love him. But the truth is, that we haven’t had anything to hold on to that magnifies his abilities that haven’t stemmed beyond playing Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That has been his identity for 14 years, half a dozen movies, and two seasons of a Disney Plus television show.

The “Life of Chuck” trailer dropped this week, and we get what we hope is something for Hiddleston to sink his abilities into.

This is a Stephen King story, and the trailer doesn’t give us too much to go on beyond that. We see Hiddleston and two younger versions of himself. And what appears to be optimism in the presence of doom.

Still, it makes me want to see the movie.

And it’s time we see Tom Hibbleston take some big swings in New territory.
