Puerto Rican viewers of Daredevil: Born Again were happy to hear Hector mention the beloved Coqui tree frog at the beginning of episode 3.

Indeed, the Coqui is an iconic presence on the island. And one that I know personally from my time living there. It’s also a symbol. You’ll see it everywhere in Puerto Rico and right here Puerto Rican communities.

It’s a very unique sound, and like Hector mentions, it does indeed sing out it’s own name. And the chorus of Coqui is a welcomed lullaby to many living on the island.
