Entourage has turned 20. And as the site continues to evolve, I’ve decided to do a rewatch of the HBO Original that celebrates celebrity better than any show to have tried it. Even to this day.

Here we go!

What Happened?: We meet Vincent Chase, E, Drama, and Turtle before the premiere of “Head On” with Jessica Alba. At the after-party with meet Ari Gold, our super agent pushes E on getting Vince to read “Matterhorn” a script from a French director. Vince waves off the reading but he’s offered $4 million dollars. E and Ari have an argument over dinner and E walks off. When he gets home, he has a heart to heart talk with Vince and the team prepares to go to their high school reunion. To end the show we learn that Colin Farrel took the role in “Matterhorn”

Tie-ins and Trivia:

We get to see Ali Larter, about 20 years after Landman success and 5 years after the Varsity Blues bikini.

We hearing “Hey Ya” from Outkast. Big back then. Still heard today.

Mark Wahlberg cameo. This was his show if you never watched the credits.

Colin Farrel takes the role in “Matterhorn”. He was the fellow young rising star back then after “Phone Booth and Minority Report.

Quotes:

Drama: “Rogaine. That s*** is liquid gold”

Drama: “I was on Pacific Blue, c**k breath.”

Opinions:

The opening track “Superhero” by Jane’s Addiction is still terrific and the title sequence is still a lot of fun all of these years later.

The style! Oh, 2000s. Why did you leave me?

Turtle is kind of a jerk early on in the series and matures probably more than anyone else in the crew before it’s over.

The Rottweiler attacking Turtle in the goalie gear was a lot of fun.

Strange hearing Ari talk about another woman. We know how great he is with Ms. Ari as the show goes on.
