The Four Seasons: S1E7 Ski Trip Recap
We’re moving down the homestretch of The Four Seasons, and it is now winter. If you’re looking for a recap of episode 6, I’ve got you HERE.
What Happened?: We begin with everyone heading out for a ski trip. Kate listens to Jack argue on the phone about his dad’s belongings. Danny pledges to Claude that he will enforce boundaries on Kate after their argument. And we learn that Nick isn’t with the group and instead went to Ginny’s friends this time out. It’s also New Year’s Eve. We also discover that it’s Anne’s turn with the group and she’s got a new man named Terry.
They don’t waste any time with the shocks. Claude confesses to Danny that sometime in the past he hooked up with Terry. Kate also notices a suspicious number on Jack’s phone and unsuccessfully tries to lock it. And of course, Nick feels out of place with Ginny’s friends.
As the day goes on, Claude and Danny try to get Terry to reveal an identity birthmark, and both groups have very different skiing experiences with our group of friends being experts and Ginny’s buddies being terrible at it. Nick calls the group and immediately feels sad that he’s not there. Then Ginny gets mad at Nick for avoiding her group.
Back at the gang’s house, Jack confesses researching a potential divorce and gets in an argument with Kate. A short time later Kate discovers missed calls and texts from Ginny. Nick died in a car accident. He had been at the store trying to buy things for a party for Ginny’s friends. The episode ends with the group hugging Anne, who decides to wait until morning to call their daughter Lila. Terry, who brought a guitar plays “Candle in the wind” as the credits roll.
Quotes:
Anne: “You may never see Terry again after this trip. He wears a dainty silver anklet.”

(Kate and Jack)
Kate: “Mediation? You’re googling how to divorce me?”

Kate: “That is so much worse than cheating.”
Trivia and Tie-ins:
Actually most people say “TMI” or too much information after the thing. That’s after we discover it’s indeed TMI.
Jett does indeed sled. We see him as part of that sad skiing display by Ginny’s friends.
An Ayurvedic chef focuses on Indian remedies.
