Bad Thoughts: Episode 6 Finale Recap
And here we are, at the final episode of Tom Segura’s Bad Thoughts on Netflix, and we’re rolling in pretty easy breezy with no cliffhanger for the first time. If you want to read my episode five recap you can HERE.
What Happened?: We begin at a corporate retreat breakfast where Barry is using an LGBTQ slur that he doesn’t understand is offensive, even after getting called out by coworkers. He then begins to graphically explain his logic and right before Barry leaves, Phil, an LGBTQ coworker stands up to defend him. The group forgives Barry and he’s allowed to stay and he uses a derogatory statement about Jews before the title graphics hit.
We get an interlude about health, before the next skit which takes place in a health class where a professor mistakenly leaves his gym website open. Professor Hale heads to the gym but right before he signs a contract, he hesitates but eventually signs it and takes a pre workout shot. He then realizes that all of the men working out there are well endowed and while preparing to quit, he realizes he’s also gotten bigger. Hale determines its the pre workout shot that is allowing him to grow. His sex life improves and he becomes more confident. He even becomes a better teacher. However he becomes too big and his popularity starts plummeting. But Hale doesn’t stop and we see him grow to the size of a tree trunk. The gym sends him to a back office where a lady hands him an ax. After some thinking he finally decides to cut it off and blood begins splattering everywhere. We’re then taken back to the moment Hale is preparing to sign the contract. He hesitates and then signs it anyway, and proceeds to take multiple shots of pre workout as the credits start to pop.
Trivia and Takeways:
The RNC is the Republican National Convention.
I’m not sure if Tom’s renewed show is a second season of “Bad Thoughts” ,another project, or just a made up joke to prevent his suicide.
