NE Wisconsin Car Looters Are Back And Vigilance Is Needed
Ugh. I really despise Northeast Wisconsin car looters. But as the weather continues to warm up, these cowards will make their presence known again this year buy opening unlocked cars and stealing items from them (story HERE).
These individuals are dumb and slimy.
They’re dumb because you might very well be able to spot them in your neighborhoods. You know they don’t live there because you don’t recognize them and they’re not visiting any houses in the area. And they cover their faces and are looking around every five seconds to make sure they’re not spotted.
They’re slimy because they can still be tough to catch. And if you should happen to catch one trying to break into a locked car, they’ll plead ignorance or simply run away. Sadly, many of them are juveniles and they understand that even if they’re caught there is not much that police can do to them. And they remain free to steal another day.
Luckily for us, the solution is simple. Lock your car.
“Okay, Frank. Now why did I click on your stupid link to read something that is commons sense.”
That’s a fair question. It’s because we’re going to observe and communicate.
Everyone in your neighborhood should be looking out for these jerks. Because they literally try to steal from every car on the street or in the shopping center parking lot. They go vehicle to vehicle.
But when you spot a car looter, be sure to take an exact description of what they look like. What are they wearing? Do they have any tattoos? What time exactly did they show up? Which street did they disappear to? Did you see them get into a car of their own and could you see the plate? Vigilance is the key here
And of course, don’t be a hero. Call the cops. Please. You don’t know if these guys are armed. You don’t want to get shot because someone tried to steal your visor of 90s compact discs.
Let’s stay alert and report these guys.
