Special Forces World’s Toughest Test: Jussie Smollett Is A Sad Headliner For A Bottom Drawer Cast

Love me some Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. This blog has been onboard for the last two seasons and even though this is a negative article, this bad casting isn’t enough to make me watch something else yet.

And by bad casting, I’m talking about Jussie Smollett, who staged a fake attack several years back to push his slumping star higher (story HERE).

Adding Smollett to the show is an insult to the very training some of the toughest men and women in the world have to endure. You’re taking a stolen tabloid valor disgraced star and putting him on the top of your celebrity pyramid.

It’s terribly disingenuous but SFWTT has done this before.

Savannah Chrisley was only on the show to push her campaign to get her tax cheat parents out of jail. It worked.

Tom Sandoval was pumping up his reality TV star in a superficial attempt to gain sympathy so that he could do it again on another TV show. It worked.

And the problem here is that Smollett is the headliner. The rest of the cast is the least famous that we’ve seen on this show. It’s full of even lower tier reality TV stars that you’ve no doubt forgotten about.

It’s a sad state of affairs, when Johnny Manziel, another troubled former star is a likely fan favorite. At least he’s a lot more transparent and remorseful than Smollett.

Then only silver lining here is that the cadre has gotten to the point where they can carry a cast of weak celebrities. Let’s hope they stretched.

Because keeping this season interesting is going to be the real toughest test.
