Chandra is my Magic: The Gathering queen. She is the personification of red. She looks cool. She’s written well. I enjoy having her in my hand.
And Chandra’s Outrage is a great addition to uncomplicated decks that just want to do damage. That’s what us mono red players love to do.

What the card says:

Chandra’s Outrage deals 4 damage to target creature and 2 damage to that creature’s controller.

“Chandra never believed in using her inside voice”

Analysis:

Essentially 6 points of dealt damage for Chandra is (Larry David voice) pretty, pretty, good. You can knock out a decently sized creature, and the extra damage to that creature’s controller is pretty gangster too. We love compound instant damage with mono red. And the streets like pairing this card with Imodane, which sets off her effect and deals damage to the rest of the table too. It’s a solid card.

How it feels when you play it: The rest of the table calls it the “Lord’s work” when you’re dealing this kind of damage because you’re usually getting rid of a nuisance. You’ll also be able to knock out a leg of a potential opponent winning condition with a four toughness creature by “shooting it onsite”.

Conclusion: This is a good card. Whether you love fast burn like myself, or as something deeper in the deck just in case, Chandra’s Outrage is a solid option that doesn’t cost too much and allows you to have a very mono red effect on the game.
