Trending: Rhea Ripley Mobbed; here is why WWE doesn’t have individual security
WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley was mobbed by a group of excited French fan in Paris, shortly before the wrestling giant’s highly anticipated “Clash In Paris” premium live event.
The fans blocked Ripley from getting in her rideshare, causing her to tweet this…
Remember, we are people. Do not swarm me or anyone like a pack of rabid zombies… No one should ever be pushed up against a uber drivers door and completely mobbed like I just experienced. Use common courtesy and humanity. No means no. Wtf.

While there are many calls for security, this is nothing new, with WWE superstars regularly being rushed and even stalked by out of control fans.
Why doesn’t WWE have security for its Superstars?
Money
It would simply cost the company too much money for private security for dozens of their superstars. While many fans would point to the rising costs of being able to enjoy the product, the WWE hasn’t indicated any changes to their current policy.
It would lead to terminations: If the WWE did decide to start paying for security, the money would not be pulled from new revenue. This would demonstrate a lack of growth to investors. It would likely mean less stars on the roster.
Company history: Wrestlers have historically traveled alone. We’ve heard of fans spotting The Undertaker relaxing by an airport gate back in the day. We remember Dwayne Johnson driving a rental car to the arena alone. In Orlando, WWE superstars run errands alone all of the time.
Despite the unfortunate events to Rhea Ripley in Paris. Change remains unlikely.
