Fantasy Football: Jalen Hurts Benefited From No Micah Parsons

It was a great night to be a Jalen Hurts Fantasy Football owner, as the SuperBowl MVP led his team to victory over the Dallas Cowboys 24-20 in a game marred by controversy, weather, and a team changing trade.

Let’s talk about that trade. The Cowboys traded away Micah Parsons last week.

First Hurts’ Line: 19 for 23, for 152 yards. But he ran for 2 touchdowns.

A missing Micah Parsons opened up the field for Hurts: Hurts ran for 62 yards. Now, we know he can run but missing a dominant defender like Parsons gave Hurts the space he needed to get his team off to a fast start.

It wasn’t good for his receivers though: AJ Brown had a dreadful night with only a single catch. None of the others had more than three.

Dallas Goedert enjoyed the shorter game: The tight end had seven catches for 44 yards. Hardly a points bonanza but better than the pack.

But we should see more of Hurts’ arm in the coming weeks: The Eagles schedule is brutal. At the Chiefs in a SuperBowl rematch. At home against the Rams, who could have beaten them and at home against the Bucs. Another playoff team.

Jalen will have to throw that ball to keep the party going for Philly.

Do you have Jalen Hurts on your team? What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
