Fantasy Football: Malik Nabers sat out practice; Keep An Eye On Him

Malik Nabers sat out practice on Friday with back tightness, and despite not having an injury designation as the New York Giants travel to play at the Washington Commanders, you need to keep an eye on him.

Points to remember:

“He’ll be alright. He’ll be alright”: Giants coach Brian Daboll told reporters twice that his best receiver will be on the field on Sunday. Coaches typically play coy to keep opponents guessing. Daboll being adamant would be tough to walk back.

Back injuries are unpredictable: Even you and I can relate. A sneeze can aggravate a bad back. This is why even with Daboll waving everyone off we need to consider Nabers as a possible game time scratch.

Wan’Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton should be available alternatives: Sitting behind Nabers on the Depth Chart. Although against a third ranked Commanders pass defense, they would be a downgrade.

Nabers still has a big play upside with a quarterback controversy: Russell Wilson will have eyeballs on him from the first snap. Don’t be surprised if he tries to hit Nabers with the “moon ball” once or twice. Especially if Jayden Daniels and the Commanders get going early.

Bottom line: Start him of course, but have your phones on you up until game time.

What do you think? Do you have Malik Nabers on your rosters? Let me know in the comments.
