Fantasy Football: Aaron Rodgers Revenge Tour Yields Big Early Numbers
After two years away from competitive relevancy, Aaron Rodgers went berserk on week one Sunday burning his former team 34-32 in his Steelers debut, and taunting New York Jets fans as he walked off the field, and during the press conference.
These big numbers proved that he’s still got “it”, and he’s angry.
The Aaron Rodgers Line: 22 for 30 for four touchdowns. No INTS.
He spread the ball around: Seven different targets caught a ball from the future Hall of Famer On Sunday afternoon. And he was accurate despite getting sacked 4 times.
He might have to throw: The Steelers running game was not effective on Sunday afternoon, racking up only a combined 53 yards. And if the Steelers are serious about competing, Rodgers needs to be able to hang with the likes of Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Patrick Mahomes in the passing game.
We’ll learn next week: As the Steelers host Seattle. Rodgers has traditionally done well against the Seahawks (14 TD and 4 INTS)
Bottom Line: Heaven forbid a QB1 gets hurt this week, you could do worse than Rodgers next week.
What do you think? Will this Rodgers success continue? Let me know in the comments.
