Fantasy Football: Ja’Marr Chase Owners Should Worry About Bengals O-Line

It was a dreadful week for top tier Fantasy Football wide receivers, AJ Brown underperformed on Thursday, Malik Nabers was shutdown against the Commanders.

But Ja’Marr Chase was a complete bust against the lowly Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Scoring out of the top 25 for receivers in many leagues. The Bengals still somehow managed to win 17-16.

Chase’s line: 2 catches for 26 yards on 5 targets.

Blame it on the offensive line: Myles Garrett was in Joe Burrows’ face all afternoon. The Bengals couldn’t even run the ball, garnering less than 50 yards on the ground.

It hurt Joe Burrows owners too: 14 for 23 for 113 yards isn’t going to score many fantasy points either.

We’ll learn more against Jacksonville this weekend: The Jags beat the lowly Carolina Panther yesterday, picking off Bryce Young twice. Joe Burrow isn’t Bryce Young but everyone needs better production.

Bottom Line: First overall picks have to play. Start Chase and hope that the Bengals can manage to get this man the ball.
