CNN analyst, Van Jones, has been trending for the last several hours, and reached the top of social media for his comments regarding the stabbing of a Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska.

On the air, Jones says that suspect Decarlos Brown was “hurting” and along with fellow analyst Abby Phillips cited the reaction from the death of George Floyd in response.

Jones has been trending under a negative sentiment since and on a slower news day with only the announcement of new products from Apple, has remained a major topic of discussion for a longer period than usual.
