Dancing With The Stars: Last Second Thoughts Before Season 34 Premiere
We are about 36 hours away from the season 34 premiere of Dancing With The Stars, and the show is tracking well, with fans responding with excitement from social media posts from this season’s celebs and our beloved pros.
Here are some last minute thoughts before the premiere..
Whitney Leavitt buzz: The reality TV star has a lot of show viewers in her orbit. While the majority are her “secret lives” fans, she’s also getting a bump from being teamed with fan favorite Mark Ballas. Critics are pointing out her extensive dance experience, and her clips look like she’s in midseason form. Either way, she’s got the attention of viewers heading into tomorrow.
A lot of story telling needs to be done in a hurry: Robert Irwin. Lauren Jaregui. Cory Feldman. Daniell Fishel. ABC viewers know them. Everyone else really needs to introduce themselves to the DWTS viewers outside of social media. And this has to be done without bringing down the flow of the show. Especially in those crowded first weeks.
Longtime viewers may just side with the favorite Pro: With mostly a cast of mainstream unknowns, a lot of viewers higher up in the demo may just pick a pro they’ve enjoyed over the last few seasons. This is actually best for the show. It leans on in-house resources and bodes well for show experiences like the tour.
First likely to be eliminated: Is still Andy Richter. He’s 58, which is still much younger than Eric Roberts and Reginald VelJohnson from last year, but he’s not showing us much on social media. But the slowest dancer isn’t always the first eliminated. Right, Anna Delvey?
