The most controversial subject regarding Dancing with the Stars over the past several years?

How much experience is too much experience for the stars? After all, most talent is trained in the “triple threat” arena of acting, singing, and dancing.

And the argument flaired up on social media during the season 34 premiere when Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas cruised to high scores during their first performance.

Leavitt has experience stretching back to college and during the broadcast, it was revealed that she use to compete against DWTS pro Witney Carson. And Mark Ballas remains a big fan favorite on the show.

Fans had thoughts. Including invoking Chandler Kinney from last season.

Experience doesn’t always guarantee victory. In addition to Kinney, JoJo Siwa, and Zendaya were both extremely strong but did not win the MirrorBall Trophy.
